I'm Hakan, the hands and heart behind ZeyaWoodStudio. The name "Zeya" comes from my two sisters, Zehranur and Ayşegül  the people closest to my heart. They inspired the name; I bring the work to life.My story with wood began when I was thirteen, in my father's workshop. What started as time spent beside him slowly became my own craft. For the past several years, I've been creating professionally, with proper tools and a workshop of my own, here in Trabzon, Turkey  a region surrounded by forests and a long tradition of working with wood.Every piece begins with the wood itself. I choose each board by hand from local timber stores, working mostly with walnut, fir, and spruce  woods with character, warmth, and a grain that tells its own story. Nothing is mass produced. When you place an order, I begin within hours, right away if I'm in the workshop, and within eight hours if I'm not.Because every piece is made by hand, every piece can be made for you. I build in any size you need, so the table, shelf, or piece you imagine fits your home exactly not the other way around.Thank you for being here, and for letting a little piece of my work become part of your home.
